In terms of Uprising and the act of rebelling in a space of empowering women, I feel GIVE OWA MAN can be taken quite literally. In northern dialect, GIVE OWA is a phrase used in a passive aggressive way towards someone in expression of one getting over themself. Where I am from we put the word MAN on the end of our vocal expressions as a more direct and assertive ending to the aggression. This figure of speech, GIVE OWA MAN, can be literally taken as us women telling men to get over themselves.
