Invited by Aida Wilde to contribute to Stories of Other, a core component of the inaugural exhibition Other Pt.1 (Survival), Nasty Gallery delivered a three-day feminist-led residency exploring identity, belonging, and collective creative resistance.
In the spirit of radical inclusion and resistance, Stories of Other took place during International Women’s Day weekend and unfolded as a living, breathing feminist happening. Held within the dynamic Corner Space on Bethnal Green Road, an intersection of cultural histories and gentrification tensions.
This collaboration between Aida Wilde and Nasty Gallery reignited the DIY legacy of feminist protest art and collective action.
Nasty Gallery, a platform for underrepresented female artists, curated a full program that blurred boundaries between artist, audience, and activist. Alongside exhibiting visual works, Nasty artists facilitated workshops and performances that centred creative expression, collective being, prefigurative artistic politics, intergenerational healing, and radical creative expression.

WORKSHOPS with NG, March 6-9th, 2025
Life Drawing – PROCESS & SURFACE (Paige Hawley & Lior Hatt): Two dynamic sessions explored the body as a site of resistance and reclamation, drawing from the influence of Francesca Woodman and Alison Dollery.
Talisman Creation & Rituals for Resilience (CW Stubbs): This session blended mindfulness, symbolic art-making, and narrative transformation, culminating in personal talismans that honoured survival and self-compassion.
Reclaim, Reimagine, Repurpose (Apparan): Participants repurposed domestic objects into affirming artworks, subverting the cultural narratives of unpaid labour and disposability.
Artist Surgeries (Boa Swindler): Through one-on-one mentoring sessions, Swindler offered emerging artists practical tools for navigating art institutions and sustaining creative careers.
