At Nasty Gallery, we are committed to empowering women in the arts and creating a space where their voices, visions, and talents are celebrated. Our mission is to provide a platform for underrepresented women artists, from recent graduates stepping into the art world to mothers rediscovering their creative passions and retired artists reclaiming their artistic narratives.
We believe in fostering an inclusive environment where women can share their stories, exhibit their work, and perform without barriers. By showcasing diverse talents and experiences, Nasty Gallery continues to push for women’s rights, amplify voices, and advocate for a future where women’s contributions to art are seen, valued, and celebrated.
Join us in supporting a movement that uplifts women and reshapes the art world.

Other Pt.1 (Survival) & Stories of Other
Aida Wilde x Nasty Gallery
Over four powerful days in March 2025, during International Women's Day weekend, Nasty Gallery was invited to contribute by artist-activist Aida Wilde to co-create Stories of Other, part of Wilde’s wider Other Pt.1 (Survival) series.
Occupying a prime East London corner at 123 Bethnal Green Road, this collaborative takeover transformed the space into a raw, vibrant and inclusive celebration of feminist resistance.
Invited by Wilde, Nasty Gallery brought an intergenerational collective of artists, poets, and performers into the heart of this DIY-led event. Installations, workshops, live art, spoken word, and acoustic performances gave space to unheard stories and voices often silenced or sidelined. From bone-laced goddesses, photography, upcycled feminist teacups and powerful visuals against misogyny and sublime examples of the female 'unsexualised' form, the show made space for real connection, truth, and solidarity.
One visitor described it as “the best women’s show” they’d seen all month, and many noted how “welcoming, real, and nurturing” the space felt.Explore the highlights, artists, and full documentation on the dedicated show page.

NASTY GALLERY is a bold, independent art collective founded in 2023 to champion the work and visibility of women artists across all stages of their creative journey. Rooted in feminist values and DIY resilience, we operate primarily online while hosting pop-up exhibitions, workshops, and community events in London and beyond. From inclusive life drawing to creative rituals and community-led discussions, our programming celebrates art as a tool for dialogue, empowerment, and transformation.
We are a collective without a permanent home, yet wherever we gather, we build spaces of belonging. Join us in amplifying the voices of women and exploring the transformative power of art and activism.
Support us in fighting the good fight. Ways to Donate.
Nasty Gallery is a not for profit female led initiative who’s ultimate aim is to provide a permanent and safe space for women in the arts. Our intention is to bring exhibitions, performance, spoken word and debate via exciting and thought provoking events.
We are currently unfunded, but on it. All of the team volunteer their time and more often than not, their money, so, in order to help us to keep on keeping on and press forward with providing quality underrepresented women a spot to shine, we would be very grateful if you could support us by making a donation of any amount or by purchasing our merchandise. All profit goes into continuing our events and crucially, towards finding a permanent home. Sending a massive thank you for all your support.
