CHERYL
MCLENNAN
Cheryl Mclennan, an exceptional poet and spoken word artist with northern working class roots, brings over two decades of experience in mental health, supporting women leaving prison, working in CRISIS cold weather shelters, and has worked with Winvisible at Crossroads Women's Centre.
At 70, Cheryl understands the nuances of invisibility and has lived through the second, third, and now fourth waves of feminism. Her insightful and witty writing navigates social and personal landscapes with a unique blend of playfulness and depth. Her work is infused with hyperrealism, reflecting the impact of politics and discrimination on people's lives.
Cheryl is a member of the RRANTS collective, has been featured at Bang Said the Gun and many other events. Is published with Queenswoods Writers and in several national poetry anthologies.
