Grounded in extensive research, my artistic practice adopts a playful and unpretentious approach, using text, video, and installations for confident and direct communication. I strive to enhance accessibility, especially for those alienated by the intricacies and elitism of Contemporary Art.

Currently, my focus lies in creating text-based pieces challenging societal expectations, gender stereotypes, sexism, street harassment, and domestic abuse. I aim to spark public discourse, and foster respectful communication to create an empowering environment.

Born in 1983, I earned a First Class Honours BA in Fine Art in 2006. I've exhibited globally, contributed to feminist publications, and was joint winner of the Public Vote in the 2018 Nasty Women International Art Prize.

"What You Made Me Do" delves into the complex dynamics of abusive relationships. The stark black lettering mirrors the chaos of abuse, emphasising urgency and danger. The title itself, a confrontational statement used by perpetrators to shift blame onto their partners, becomes a rallying cry against the oppressive forces of emotional manipulation. Here, I address the perpetrator directly, by personally challenging and reclaiming this manipulative phrase, thrusting it into the public sphere.
I invite the viewer to engage in a collective uprising, challenging the status quo, and fostering awareness to break free from the chains of emotional manipulation.
